Most conversion agencies put "book a call" where the price should be. We checked nine Shopify CRO providers on October 22, 2026. We sorted what they sell into the three ways CRO is bought: a one-time audit, a fix project, or a monthly testing program. Then we did the break-even math at four store sizes, so you can see what each fee has to earn back.
Short answer
Published Shopify CRO prices in October 2026: audits from $495 (Evolve Media Agency) and $799 (CRO.media) to $2,250 (Oddit Essential); a fix sprint at $1,495 (Evolve); monthly testing from $699 (Shoplift's managed plan, annual only), $995 (Evolve), about $3,500 (craftberry), from $10,000 (Invesp Growth) and $25,000 (Spiralyze). Blend Commerce and Intelligems' managed service quote only. At a 40% gross margin, $995 a month pays for itself with a 1.5% revenue lift on a $2M store; $3,500 a month needs about 5.3%.

CRO means conversion rate optimization: changing your store so more of the people who already visit end up buying. On October 22, 2026, we loaded the CRO service or pricing page of nine providers that sell it to Shopify stores: seven agencies (ours included) and the managed plans of two Shopify A/B testing apps. An A/B test splits your visitors between the current page and a changed version and measures which one sells more.
A price counts only if it sits on the provider's own page on that date. Where a provider publishes nothing, we say quote only and do not guess. We chose these nine because together they cover every way CRO is sold to a $1M to $10M store, and because seven of them publish at least one figure, which is unusual in this industry. Speero, SplitBase and most Shopify agencies with a CRO line do not publish a number at all.
Someone studies your analytics, product pages, cart and checkout and hands you a ranked list of what to fix. Published: Evolve $495, CRO.media $799, Oddit Essential $2,250 (design files for 10 redesigned sections). craftberry and Blend sell audits but quote them.
The audit plus the work: fixes built and shipped, or new section designs handed to your developer. Published: Evolve's $1,495 sprint ships the top 10 fixes on a staging copy of your theme; Oddit Pro is $1,750 a page with a two-page minimum ($3,500) for redesign files.
A roadmap of tests, each one built, run until the result is trustworthy, and the winner shipped. Published: Shoplift Managed $699, Evolve $995, craftberry about $3,500, Invesp Growth from $10,000, Spiralyze $25,000. Intelligems' managed service quotes.
Blend Commerce (audit-first, about $1M a year and 50,000 sessions a month minimum) and Intelligems' managed service (booked through a demo).
The break-even lines below are examples. They assume a 40% gross margin (what is left of each sale after product cost, shipping and fees) and ask one question: how much extra revenue in a year covers the fee? Your margin changes the answer; the method does not.
Example math, 40% gross margin, first-year revenue only. Break-even lift = yearly fee divided by 0.40, divided by yearly revenue. A lift below 2% is hard to prove with a test but easy to get from fixing a broken mobile cart. A lift above 10% in a year is rare for a store that already works.
Audit $495: 0.12%. Sprint $1,495: 0.37%. Shoplift Managed $699 a month: 2.1%. Testing at $995 a month: 3.0%. craftberry at $3,500: 10.5%. A one-time audit or sprint is the only purchase here that pays back without a big win.
Sprint: 0.19%. Shoplift Managed: 1.05%. $995 a month: 1.5%. $3,500 a month: 5.3%. Invesp Growth at $10,000: 15% (Invesp sells Growth to $6M+ brands). Testing starts to make sense if your order volume can finish tests.
$995 a month: 0.6%. $3,500 a month: 2.1%. $10,000 a month: 6%. Spiralyze at $25,000: 15%. Monthly testing is the normal buy at this size.
$3,500 a month: 1.05%. $10,000 a month: 3%. $25,000 a month: 7.5%. The bigger programs earn their fee here, if they ship enough winners.
The traffic check comes before the fee check. To tell a 10% lift from luck at 95% confidence and the usual 80% power (an 80% chance of catching a real lift), a test needs roughly 16 × p × (1 − p) ÷ (lift × p)² visitors per version, where p is your conversion rate. At a 2.5% conversion rate that is about 62,400 visitors and 1,560 orders per version; a 20% lift needs about 15,600 visitors and 390 orders. Example: a $2M store at an $80 average order value (AOV) gets about 2,083 orders and 83,000 sessions a month, so a 10% test on all traffic takes about 46 days. A $1M store needs about three months. That is why our own testing plan is sold only to stores with a few thousand orders a month, and why craftberry says about 1,000.
Even a $495 audit is fine, but a monthly fee is not. Work through our free Shopify CRO playbook yourself and install Microsoft Clarity, which is free, to watch real sessions.
If a 10% test would take more than about eight weeks on your traffic, a testing retainer pays for tests that end inconclusive. Buy a sprint and measure the month before against the month after.
Every test on a page like that is a test of small things on a page losing for big reasons. Fix the images, reviews and price first.
craftberry publishes a guarantee with conditions: they keep working until a 10% lift in revenue per visitor shows up. Read the conditions. Nobody can promise how your customers behave, and we do not.
If a proposal does not say how many tests run, who builds them, and at what confidence a winner is called, you cannot judge whether the fee was earned.
They are priced differently for a reason. Make the proposal name one.
craftberry charges it separately; Spiralyze includes it; our sprint ships the fixes. Design files alone, like Oddit's, need a developer after.
Ask them to run the sample-size math above with your orders and conversion rate. If they will not, that is the answer.
Shoplift's managed plan includes its app; Spiralyze includes tools. Most agencies bill the fee and leave the app subscription to you.
Published: Evolve and Spiralyze month to month; Shoplift Managed annual only; Intelligems Unlimited three months minimum; Invesp Growth month to month after a free first month.
Revenue per visitor is usually right. Conversion rate alone can be raised with discounts that cost you margin.
