Twenty-one conversion rate optimization agencies and managed app plans checked in October 2026. Twelve made the list. Only five of those twelve publish a price, only two state the confidence level they call a winner at, and the ones that rank themselves first on Google are not the ones that fit a $1M to $10M store.
Short answer
For a Shopify store doing $1M to $10M a year, the best fits are craftberry (retainers from about $3,500 a month, 95% confidence rule, needs 1,000+ orders a month), Evolve Media Agency (fixed-price: $495 audit, $1,495 sprint, $995 a month testing once a store reaches a few thousand orders a month; audit and sprint best under about $5M). Also fitting: Invesp (Foundation tier for $1M to $6M stores, Growth from $10,000 a month) and Blend Commerce (audit-first, about $1M and 50,000 sessions a month minimum). Below about 50,000 sessions a month, skip the agency testing program and buy an audit or ship fixes directly. Every other price on this page is the agency's own published figure or a labeled estimate.

We looked at 21 providers: 18 agencies (one of them, Northpeak, turned out to be a dead domain), two managed plans sold by A/B testing apps, and one solo practice. For each we loaded the pricing or CRO page on October 22, 2026, and recorded four things: whether a price is published, what revenue or traffic minimum they state, whether they say how they decide a test has won, and where they say they fit. Rank order weighs those four things for a store doing $1M to $10M a year. An agency that only takes $10M+ brands is listed because people ask about it, but it is not ranked in the top five.
What we did not do: score anyone on their own case studies. Every lift number on every agency site is vendor reported, and one of them labels results "verified" without saying by whom. We quote the numbers where they are useful and we say who reported them.
Five of the twelve ranked agencies publish a figure, as do Spiralyze, Speero and Shoplift's managed plan; Intelligems' managed plan is quote only. The rest say "it depends on store size," which is true and also unhelpful before a call.
Seven providers state a floor (craftberry, Invesp, Blend, Convertibles, SplitBase, Speero, Blue Stout). They range from about $1M a year (Invesp Foundation, Blend) to $50M (Speero). If you are below the floor, the agency will tell you on the call; the list tells you now.
Only craftberry (95% confidence after two business cycles) and Speero (minimum detectable effect set before the test, about 95%) say how a test is called. Everyone else says "statistical confidence" or nothing.
Intelligems is the Shopify-native default (craftberry, Blend, SplitBase, Convertibles). Convert, VWO and Optimizely cluster at the enterprise shops. If you already pay for a tool, pick an agency that works in it.
CRO agencies disagree about almost everything except this: you need enough orders to run a test. A test that needs 1,000 conversions per variation takes a 50-order-a-day store about six weeks and a 10-order-a-day store more than half a year. That is why the better agencies publish floors and why the first question is your volume, not your budget.
Do not buy a testing retainer. Buy an audit and ship the fixes: our $495 audit or $1,495 sprint, Oddit's Essential report at $2,250, or CRO.media's audit if you can pin down its price. Measure before and after, not A versus B.
Evolve (audit, then a sprint that ships the fixes; at this volume we do not sell monthly testing), Blend Commerce (about $1M and 50,000 sessions minimum), or Invesp's Foundation tier (by application).
craftberry (from about $3,500 a month, their stated client profile), Convertibles (Shopify Plus, $2M+), Invesp Foundation or Growth. Evolve's $995 monthly testing starts at a few thousand orders a month.
Invesp Growth (from $10,000 a month), craftberry, SplitBase if you are near their $10M+ line and can commit to three months.
SplitBase, Speero (from $10,000 a month on a 12-month program), Spiralyze ($25,000 a month flat), Invesp Performance. Out of range for this page's reader, listed so you know what the enterprise tier costs.
That is the specific thing Evolve does. Most CRO agencies on this list do not touch Amazon listings; most Amazon agencies do not touch your theme.

What they sell: A full Shopify testing program: research, 3 to 5 A/B tests a month in Intelligems, plus development billed separately.
The clearest method on this list. Winners are called at 95% confidence after two full business cycles, inconclusive tests are reported as inconclusive, and the retainer page states a baseline-and-lift guarantee (about 10% within 90 days of the first launch, or they keep testing without the fee). One wording clash on their site: the scope list says development is included while the price line says it is billed separately. Ask which applies to you.
Retainers start at around $3,500 a month for research and 3 to 5 tests. Development quoted separately.

What we sell: A fixed-price CRO audit, a sprint that ships 10 fixes on your theme, and a monthly testing roadmap for stores with enough traffic to test, which our service page puts at a few thousand orders a month. Everything is priced in hour blocks at $100 an hour.
We are the publisher of this page. We are a three-person shop, so we are clear about where we sit: we ship fixes fast on stores that do not yet have the traffic for a formal test program, and we run monthly tests where the traffic is there. We do not run enterprise experimentation.
CRO Audit $495 (5 hours, ranked fix list with evidence). CRO Sprint $1,495 (15 hours, audit plus 10 fixes shipped on your theme). Test Roadmap and Monthly Testing $995 a month (10 hours a month). 100% upfront, cancel any month.

What they sell: Full CRO programs run by a senior team of seven roles: Performance (pay only for lift, $6M+ revenue), Growth (flat fee from $10,000 a month, first month free, $6M+), and Foundation (by application, two tests a month, $1M to $6M).
One of the few agencies with an actual pricing page. Tools named are VWO, AB Tasty, Optimizely, Convert, Adobe Target, Kameleoon and their own FigPii; Shopify is not mentioned on the site, and neither are Intelligems or Shoplift. Their homepage says Foundation needs 30,000 visitors a month; the pricing page says there is no traffic minimum and they will tell you on application. Clutch 4.9 from 30 reviews.
Growth: flat fee from $10,000 a month, month to month, first month free. Performance: no lift, no fee. Foundation: by application, two tests a month.

What they sell: A CRO audit (3 to 5 weeks, 40+ recommendations, a six-month roadmap scored with PECTI, their prioritization score), then monthly implementation and A/B testing, or a redesign.
Minimums are stated plainly on the audit page: about $1M a year and about 50,000 sessions a month. Tests run "to statistical confidence" with no number given; where traffic is thin they ship fixes directly. Intelligems is named on the homepage. Published results include Jackson's +88% conversion and Six Brothers Beef +177%, vendor reported. Clutch 5.0 from a single review.
No prices published. The FAQ says pricing depends on store size.

What they sell: Conversion design audits ("Oddit Reports") and redesigns with Shopify development; A/B testing is in beta. They sell recommendations and redesigned sections, not a testing program.
Prices are published: the Essential report at $2,250, Pro redesign files at $1,750 a page with a two-page minimum, landing page design at $2,500, a free trial of one redesigned section, no contracts. Two claims on the site do not match each other (12,000+ happy brands vs 10,000+ happy customers).
Essential report $2,250. Pro $1,750 a page, two-page minimum. Landing page design $2,500. No retainers.

What they sell: A fixed-price Shopify CRO audit, a monthly retainer, development and an SEO audit.
The site contradicts itself: the homepage lists the audit at $2,899 and the audit page sells it at $799 with a "worth $3,400" badge; delivery is "within 5 days," "one week" and "within 36 hours" on different pages. No testing tool is named and the audit page says there are no guaranteed winners. Treat it as a budget audit, not a testing program, and get the price in writing.
Audit $799 on the audit page ($2,899 on the homepage). Retainer $4,200 per store per month, cancel anytime. Consultation $199.

A/B testing apps have gotten good enough that the real decision is not which agency, it is whether you need one. The app runs the test; the agency decides what to test, builds the variation, and reads the result without fooling itself. Here is what each route costs in October 2026.
Most of the agencies that state a floor would turn you away, and the ones that would not cannot run a valid test on your traffic. Buy an audit, make the changes, compare the month before to the month after.
Every agency here will test button colors on a page that loses for a bigger reason. Fix photos, reviews and price first. Our free Amazon listing audit checks the same elements a Shopify product page needs.
Conversion rate, revenue per visitor and average order value move in different directions. An agency hired to "improve conversion" can win the metric and lose you money. Pick revenue per visitor unless you have a reason not to.
A theme that takes four seconds on a phone loses before any test starts. Spend the first $1,000 on theme performance, then test.
craftberry publishes a guarantee with conditions, and others publish bigger ones. Read the conditions: they are promises to keep working, not refunds. Nobody can guarantee your customers' behavior.
Two business cycles per test at 95% confidence is the realistic pace. An agency promising ten winners in 30 days is counting noise.
The two right answers on this list are craftberry's and Speero's. "We watch it until it is clear" is not an answer.
A good agency says fewer tests on a smaller store and switches to direct fixes. A bad one keeps the retainer and runs more tests.
You should own the Intelligems, Shoplift or Convert account and the data in it. If the agency leaves, the history stays.
craftberry's own page says both "included" and "billed separately." Get the answer in the proposal.
Revenue per visitor is usually right. Conversion rate alone can be gamed with discounts.
Every real program has them. An agency that only has winners has either a short history or a loose definition of winning.
If you are near the stated minimum, ask what they do in a slow month. The answer tells you whether they have a Plan B or just a contract.
Month to month (Invesp Growth, Evolve, CRO.media) versus three months (SplitBase) versus 12 months (Speero). The longer the lock, the stronger the case they should have to make.
