Evolve Media or Canopy Management: Which Should You Hire?

Canopy Management is a full-service Amazon agency in Austin, Texas, with more than 100 people, a quote-only retainer and a service list that runs from PPC to customer service, inventory, Walmart and Chewy. Evolve Media Agency is three people in Colorado who sell fixed-price creative and flat-fee PPC with every price published. They solve different problems. Here is which one fits which brand, and what each costs at three sizes.

Short answer

Pick Canopy Management if you want one large team (100+ people, per its site) to run the whole Amazon account, including DSP, customer service, inventory, reimbursements, Walmart and Chewy; its fee is quote only. Pick Evolve Media Agency if you need photos, video, A+ and listing copy made, plus PPC at a flat $995 a month up to $10,000 in spend or $1,995 up to $50,000, month to month. Canopy fits brands that want the whole account run for them (it says it has no minimum); Evolve fits brands that run operations in house.

[02] The Short Answer

Two Different Kinds of Agency, Built for Two Different Jobs

Disclosure: We are Evolve Media Agency and we wrote this comparison, so read it knowing we sell one of the two options. Every fact about Canopy Management comes from Canopy's own website (home page, services, team) or its Clutch profile (clutch.co, not linked because it blocks automated checks), checked Oct 22, 2026. Canopy's performance figures are its own claims and we repeat them as claims. We make no judgment of the quality of Canopy's work. Our prices are exact and come from our pricing page. Canopy did not review this page and does not pay us.

Canopy Management sells a team. Its services page lists full-service Amazon management, PPC, DSP (Amazon's Demand-Side Platform, which buys display and video ads on and off Amazon), customer service management, listing optimization, Amazon SEO, product photography and video, and brand support for account health. It also lists customized reporting, lost-inventory recovery, inventory management, Google ads, and full-service Walmart and Chewy management. Its team page says more than 100 Amazon and Walmart experts work on client brands. It also publishes its own seller education: a resources blog with 2026 guides on Walmart Marketplace, TikTok Shop, product launches and Amazon image stacks, plus a YouTube channel. It publishes no fee.

Evolve Media Agency sells projects. We shoot product photography and video, design listing images, A+ content and Brand Stores, write listing copy, and run Amazon PPC for a flat monthly fee. Every price is on our pricing page, we are paid 100% upfront, and PPC is month to month. We do not run customer service, inventory forecasting, reimbursement claims, DSP, or Chewy.

So the real question is not which agency is better. It is whether you want to hand the whole account to one large team on a retainer, or keep running the business yourself and buy the creative and the ad management as fixed-price pieces.

[04] When Each One Wins

Canopy Is the Better Pick Here, Evolve Is the Better Pick There

Canopy: you want to stop running the account yourself

If nobody on your team owns Seller Central day to day, a full-service retainer covers the work a project agency leaves with you: customer messages, stranded inventory, suppressed listings, restock forecasting and reimbursement claims. Canopy lists all of these. We do none of them.

Canopy: you need DSP

DSP is on Canopy's service list. It is not on ours. If your plan includes retargeting shoppers off Amazon or buying video ads at scale, Canopy can do it and we cannot.

Canopy: you sell on Walmart and Chewy too

Canopy lists full-service management for both. We do Walmart setup, listings and Walmart Connect ads at fixed prices, and no Chewy work at all.

Canopy: your ad spend is above $50,000 a month

Our published PPC tiers stop at $50,000 in monthly spend. Above that, a team of 100+ people can put more hours and more specialists on the account than three people can.

Evolve: you need the creative made

Canopy lists photography and video as a service but publishes no package or price. We publish ours: photography from $295, video from $395, photo and video combos from $595, and content bundles from $945. You know the cost before the call.

Evolve: you want a known monthly number

$995 a month up to $10,000 in spend and $1,995 up to $50,000, with the hours stated. Canopy's fee model is set in the quote; ask whether it is flat, a share of spend, or a share of sales.

Evolve: you want month to month

Our PPC has no term. Canopy publishes no contract term, so you will learn it from the proposal.

Evolve: you run the business and want parts, not a team

If you already handle inventory and customer service and want help only with listings, creative and ads, a full-service retainer pays for scope you do not use. Our Part-Time Ecommerce Marketing Expert is $1,495 a month for about 15 hours, cancel any month.

[05] What It Costs at Three Sizes

Worked Examples at $1M, $3M and $10M a Year in Sales

These are examples, not quotes. Evolve's numbers are our published prices. Canopy publishes no fee, so we cannot calculate its cost, and we will not guess at it. For each size we show what we would charge and what to ask Canopy for in writing. Ad spend is an assumed share of sales for each size (6% to 8%) and is billed by Amazon in every case.

$1M a year, $5,000 a month in ads

Evolve, year onePPC Audit + Restructure $995 once, then PPC Management $995 a month: $995 + (12 x $995) = $12,935. Add a Gold content bundle for the hero product at $2,495 and year one is $15,430.
Fee as a share of spend$995 on $5,000 is 20% of spend. That is high for PPC alone, which is why it pays at this size only when the listing work comes with it.
CanopyQuote only. Ask for the monthly fee, the model (flat, percentage of spend or percentage of sales), the term, and which of its services the fee covers at your size.

$3M a year, $20,000 a month in ads

Evolve, year onePPC Management Plus $1,995 a month (20 hours): 12 x $1,995 = $23,940, plus the $995 audit = $24,935. Creative is extra and fixed price, for example two Silver bundles at $1,495 each ($2,990).
Fee as a share of spend$1,995 on $20,000 is 10% of spend.
CanopyQuote only. At this size the question is scope: if you would also hand Canopy customer service, inventory and reimbursements, compare its quote to our PPC fee plus what those jobs cost you in house today.

$10M a year, $60,000 a month in ads

EvolveAbove our published PPC tiers. At this size we would offer creative only, for example a Gold bundle at $2,495 per hero product and a Brand Store at $1,495, and tell you to look at a larger team for ads.
Fee as a share of spendNot applicable; we have no published PPC tier above $50,000 a month in spend.
CanopyThis is the size a 100+ person full-service team is built for, with DSP, Walmart and Chewy on one account. Ask for the quote and the named people who will work on it.
Check the math yourself: 12 x $995 = $11,940, plus $995 = $12,935; plus $2,495 = $15,430. 12 x $1,995 = $23,940, plus $995 = $24,935. 2 x $1,495 = $2,990. Our pricing page has every number used here.

When You Should Hire Neither of Us Yet

Your ad spend is under $1,000 a month

Our minimum is $1,000 a month in ad spend. Below that, any management fee is a large share of the budget. Run Sponsored Products yourself and use our free listing audit to fix the page first.

Your listing converts below your category

Paid traffic from either agency lands on the same page. If the main image, bullets, price or reviews are weak, the first dollar belongs to the listing. A $495 listing rewrite comes before a monthly fee.

You cannot name what you are hiring for

Write the three outcomes you want and the number you will judge them by. A full-service retainer with no stated goal and a project with no stated goal both waste money.

You want a guaranteed result

Neither of us publishes a guarantee, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Canopy's 84% average profit growth figure is its own reported average across partners, not a promise for your account.

You have no inventory to sell

Out-of-stock products cannot be advertised. Fix supply first; neither creative nor ad management will help a listing that cannot ship.

Six Questions to Ask Canopy, Us, or Anyone Else

1

What is the monthly fee and which model is it?

Flat, percentage of ad spend, percentage of sales, or a mix. Ours is flat and on the pricing page. Canopy's is in the quote; get it in writing.

2

What is the contract term and the notice period?

Ours is month to month. Canopy publishes no term, so ask before the onboarding call.

3

Which services does the fee cover at my size?

A full-service list is the menu, not the order. Ask which items are in your fee and which are add-ons, especially DSP, Walmart and creative.

4

Who works on my account, and how many hours?

We state 10 hours a month at $995 and 20 at $1,995. With a large team, ask for the named account lead and how many brands that person carries.

5

Is ad spend billed by Amazon to my card?

Ours is. Spend that passes through an agency is where markups can hide.

6

Who owns the photos, video and copy if we part ways?

Ask for it in writing for every deliverable. Our Brand Store files are yours; ask the same of any agency for every asset it makes.

[09] FAQ

Evolve vs Canopy Questions

Is Canopy Management or Evolve Media better for my Amazon brand?
It depends on the job. Canopy Management fits brands that want one large team (100+ people, per its site) to run the whole account, including DSP, customer service, inventory, reimbursements, Walmart and Chewy. Evolve Media Agency fits brands that run operations in house and need creative made plus PPC at a flat $995 a month up to $10,000 in spend, or $1,995 up to $50,000.
How much does Canopy Management charge?
Canopy does not publish a fee. Its page named pricing redirects to the home page with no prices, and every button leads to a quote or free audit request. Its Clutch profile lists a minimum project size of $1,000+ and an hourly band of $150 to $199, which are directory fields rather than a rate card. Ask for the fee, the model and the term in writing.
What are good Canopy Management alternatives for smaller brands?
If you are under about $50,000 a month in ad spend and run your own operations, a flat-fee or project agency can cost less than a full-service retainer. Evolve Media Agency charges $995 a month for PPC up to $10,000 in spend and publishes creative from $295. Canopy says it has no minimum for full-service management, so ask it for a quote at your size too.
When was Canopy Management founded and how big is it?
Canopy's site says it has helped brands "since 2015"; its Clutch profile says founded 2018. Its team page says more than 100 Amazon and Walmart experts, and Clutch lists 50 to 249 employees. The company is based in Austin, Texas, and its team page names Brian Burt as chief executive.
Does Evolve Media do full-service Amazon management?
No. We sell creative production, listing copy, PPC management and a few other services at fixed prices. We do not run customer service, inventory forecasting, reimbursement claims or DSP. Our Part-Time Ecommerce Marketing Expert, $1,495 a month for about 15 hours, is the closest thing we offer to broad ongoing help.
Does Canopy Management have a contract or minimum?
Canopy publishes no contract term. Its FAQ says there are no minimum requirements for full-service management. Clutch lists a $1,000+ minimum project size. Evolve's PPC is month to month with a $1,000 minimum monthly ad spend, paid 100% upfront.
Who offers Amazon DSP?
Canopy Management does; we do not. DSP is on its service list and not on ours. DSP is Amazon's Demand-Side Platform, which buys display and video ads on and off Amazon, and it usually makes sense only at larger budgets.
Can I use both Canopy and Evolve?
Yes. Some brands keep a full-service agency for the account and hire a separate studio for photos, video or A+ content. If you do, agree in writing who owns the listing copy and images so the two teams do not overwrite each other.
