Shopify CRO Agency Pricing in 2026: Audit, Sprint and Monthly Testing, Priced

Most conversion agencies put "book a call" where the price should be. We checked nine Shopify CRO providers on October 22, 2026. We sorted what they sell into the three ways CRO is bought: a one-time audit, a fix project, or a monthly testing program. Then we did the break-even math at four store sizes, so you can see what each fee has to earn back.

Last reviewed October 23, 2026Prices checked October 2026By Ian Smith

Short answer

Published Shopify CRO prices in October 2026: audits from $495 (Evolve Media Agency) and $799 (CRO.media) to $2,250 (Oddit Essential); a fix sprint at $1,495 (Evolve); monthly testing from $699 (Shoplift's managed plan, annual only), $995 (Evolve), about $3,500 (craftberry), from $10,000 (Invesp Growth) and $25,000 (Spiralyze). Blend Commerce and Intelligems' managed service quote only. At a 40% gross margin, $995 a month pays for itself with a 1.5% revenue lift on a $2M store; $3,500 a month needs about 5.3%.

[02] How We Checked

Nine Providers, Three Ways to Buy, One Rule for What Counts as a Price

Disclosure: Evolve Media Agency, which publishes this page, sells this service, and our prices appear in the survey with the others. Every other company's price is that company's own published figure on the date we checked, with the page it came from linked, or a ballpark estimate from public sources, labeled as such. Our prices are exact and come from our pricing page. No company on this page pays us and nothing here is paid placement.

CRO means conversion rate optimization: changing your store so more of the people who already visit end up buying. On October 22, 2026, we loaded the CRO service or pricing page of nine providers that sell it to Shopify stores: seven agencies (ours included) and the managed plans of two Shopify A/B testing apps. An A/B test splits your visitors between the current page and a changed version and measures which one sells more.

A price counts only if it sits on the provider's own page on that date. Where a provider publishes nothing, we say quote only and do not guess. We chose these nine because together they cover every way CRO is sold to a $1M to $10M store, and because seven of them publish at least one figure, which is unusual in this industry. Speero, SplitBase and most Shopify agencies with a CRO line do not publish a number at all.

Audit (one time)

Someone studies your analytics, product pages, cart and checkout and hands you a ranked list of what to fix. Published: Evolve $495, CRO.media $799, Oddit Essential $2,250 (design files for 10 redesigned sections). craftberry and Blend sell audits but quote them.

Sprint or redesign project (one time)

The audit plus the work: fixes built and shipped, or new section designs handed to your developer. Published: Evolve's $1,495 sprint ships the top 10 fixes on a staging copy of your theme; Oddit Pro is $1,750 a page with a two-page minimum ($3,500) for redesign files.

Monthly testing program

A roadmap of tests, each one built, run until the result is trustworthy, and the winner shipped. Published: Shoplift Managed $699, Evolve $995, craftberry about $3,500, Invesp Growth from $10,000, Spiralyze $25,000. Intelligems' managed service quotes.

Quote only (two of nine)

Blend Commerce (audit-first, about $1M a year and 50,000 sessions a month minimum) and Intelligems' managed service (booked through a demo).

[03] The Three Models, With Math

Audit, Sprint or Monthly Testing: What Each Costs and Has to Earn Back

The break-even lines below are examples. They assume a 40% gross margin (what is left of each sale after product cost, shipping and fees) and ask one question: how much extra revenue in a year covers the fee? Your margin changes the answer; the method does not.

One-time audit

What you payEvolve $495. CRO.media $799. Oddit Essential $2,250. craftberry and Blend quote.
What you getA ranked fix list. Ours covers the funnel by device and traffic source, speed on real phones, product page, cart, checkout and trust elements. Oddit's comes as design files.
Example break-even$495 needs $1,238 of extra revenue in a year: 0.12% on a $1M store. $2,250 needs $5,625: 0.56% on $1M.
Who it fitsAny store over about $500,000 a year that has never had a second set of eyes on its product page.
Watch forA list with no evidence behind each item, and an audit that is really a sales deck for a retainer.

Fix sprint or redesign

What you payEvolve $1,495 (audit plus the top 10 fixes shipped). Oddit Pro $1,750 a page, two-page minimum.
What you getAt Evolve: fixes built on a staging copy of your theme, checked on phone and tablet widths, GA4 events (Google Analytics tracking of add-to-cart and checkout steps) set up, and before-and-after measurement. Nothing goes live without your approval.
Example break-even$1,495 needs $3,738 of extra revenue in a year: 0.37% on $1M, 0.19% on $2M. $3,500 needs $8,750: 0.88% on $1M.
Who it fits$1M to $3M stores without the traffic to test; anyone who wants changes made, not a slide deck.
Watch forWho builds the fixes. Design files are not live code, and a developer bill can follow.

Monthly testing program

What you payShoplift Managed $699 (annual only, $8,388 a year). Evolve $995. craftberry about $3,500 plus development. Invesp Growth from $10,000. Spiralyze $25,000.
What you getA test roadmap, tests built and run, results read once they are statistically significant (unlikely to be luck), winners shipped, a monthly report.
Example break-even$995 a month ($11,940 a year) needs $29,850: 1.5% on $2M, 0.6% on $5M. $3,500 ($42,000) needs $105,000: 5.3% on $2M, 2.1% on $5M. $10,000 needs 6% on $5M.
Who it fitsStores with enough orders for tests to finish (see the math below) and nobody in-house who owns testing.
Watch forA retainer that keeps running tests on traffic too thin to finish them.
Why a lift is worth more than one year: a buyer you win with a better product page can come back. If your repeat rate is strong, the real return on a lift is the extra first orders times customer lifetime value, not first-order revenue. Our customer lifetime value guide shows how to work out that number for your store.

craftberryRetainers from around $3,500 a month for research and 3 to 5 A/B tests; development charged separately; audit quoted. Typical client $2M+ a year and 1,000+ orders a month. Published floor.
InvespGrowth from $10,000 a month, first month free, $6M+ brands. Performance: pay only for the lift. Foundation: by application, two tests a month, $1M to $6M brands. Published for Growth.
SpiralyzeFlat fee $25,000 a month, month to month, design, development, testing tools and hard-coding of winners included. Performance and pilot pricing on request. Published.
Blend CommerceQuote only. Audit takes 3 to 5 weeks; typical fit is $1M+ a year and about 50,000 sessions a month.
Counting: nine providers. Seven publish a price for the service listed (Evolve, Shoplift, CRO.media, Oddit, craftberry, Invesp, Spiralyze). Two quote only: Blend Commerce, and Intelligems for its managed service (its self-serve plans are published). If a number here no longer matches the provider's own page, the provider's page wins.
[05] Break-Even by Store Size

What Each Fee Needs to Earn, at $1M, $2M, $5M and $10M a Year

Example math, 40% gross margin, first-year revenue only. Break-even lift = yearly fee divided by 0.40, divided by yearly revenue. A lift below 2% is hard to prove with a test but easy to get from fixing a broken mobile cart. A lift above 10% in a year is rare for a store that already works.

$1M store

Audit $495: 0.12%. Sprint $1,495: 0.37%. Shoplift Managed $699 a month: 2.1%. Testing at $995 a month: 3.0%. craftberry at $3,500: 10.5%. A one-time audit or sprint is the only purchase here that pays back without a big win.

$2M store

Sprint: 0.19%. Shoplift Managed: 1.05%. $995 a month: 1.5%. $3,500 a month: 5.3%. Invesp Growth at $10,000: 15% (Invesp sells Growth to $6M+ brands). Testing starts to make sense if your order volume can finish tests.

$5M store

$995 a month: 0.6%. $3,500 a month: 2.1%. $10,000 a month: 6%. Spiralyze at $25,000: 15%. Monthly testing is the normal buy at this size.

$10M store

$3,500 a month: 1.05%. $10,000 a month: 3%. $25,000 a month: 7.5%. The bigger programs earn their fee here, if they ship enough winners.

The traffic check comes before the fee check. To tell a 10% lift from luck at 95% confidence and the usual 80% power (an 80% chance of catching a real lift), a test needs roughly 16 × p × (1 − p) ÷ (lift × p)² visitors per version, where p is your conversion rate. At a 2.5% conversion rate that is about 62,400 visitors and 1,560 orders per version; a 20% lift needs about 15,600 visitors and 390 orders. Example: a $2M store at an $80 average order value (AOV) gets about 2,083 orders and 83,000 sessions a month, so a 10% test on all traffic takes about 46 days. A $1M store needs about three months. That is why our own testing plan is sold only to stores with a few thousand orders a month, and why craftberry says about 1,000.

When You Should Not Pay for CRO Yet

You are under about $500,000 a year

Even a $495 audit is fine, but a monthly fee is not. Work through our free Shopify CRO playbook yourself and install Microsoft Clarity, which is free, to watch real sessions.

Your orders cannot finish a test

If a 10% test would take more than about eight weeks on your traffic, a testing retainer pays for tests that end inconclusive. Buy a sprint and measure the month before against the month after.

The product page has weak photos and no reviews

Every test on a page like that is a test of small things on a page losing for big reasons. Fix the images, reviews and price first.

You want a guaranteed lift

craftberry publishes a guarantee with conditions: they keep working until a 10% lift in revenue per visitor shows up. Read the conditions. Nobody can promise how your customers behave, and we do not.

The quote has no tests per month and no winner rule

If a proposal does not say how many tests run, who builds them, and at what confidence a winner is called, you cannot judge whether the fee was earned.

[07] On the Call

Six Price Questions to Ask Any Shopify CRO Agency

1

Which of the three am I buying: an audit, a fix project, or a testing program?

They are priced differently for a reason. Make the proposal name one.

2

Is development in the price?

craftberry charges it separately; Spiralyze includes it; our sprint ships the fixes. Design files alone, like Oddit's, need a developer after.

3

How many tests a month, and how long will one take on my traffic?

Ask them to run the sample-size math above with your orders and conversion rate. If they will not, that is the answer.

4

Is the testing app included?

Shoplift's managed plan includes its app; Spiralyze includes tools. Most agencies bill the fee and leave the app subscription to you.

5

What is the term?

Published: Evolve and Spiralyze month to month; Shoplift Managed annual only; Intelligems Unlimited three months minimum; Invesp Growth month to month after a free first month.

6

What metric are we paid on?

Revenue per visitor is usually right. Conversion rate alone can be raised with discounts that cost you margin.

[09] FAQ

CRO Pricing Questions

How much does a Shopify CRO agency cost in 2026?
Published prices run from $495 for an audit (Evolve) and $799 (CRO.media) to $2,250 (Oddit Essential), $1,495 for a fix sprint (Evolve), and monthly testing at $699 (Shoplift Managed, annual only), $995 (Evolve), about $3,500 (craftberry), from $10,000 (Invesp Growth) and $25,000 (Spiralyze). Blend Commerce and Intelligems' managed service quote.
How much is a conversion audit?
Published Shopify audits cost $495 at Evolve Media Agency, $799 at CRO.media and $2,250 at Oddit for its Essential design audit. craftberry and Blend Commerce sell audits but price them by store size on a call.
Is a CRO retainer worth it for a $2M store?
Only if your orders can finish tests. At an example 40% margin, $995 a month needs a 1.5% revenue lift to pay back and $3,500 a month needs about 5.3%. A $2M store at an $80 order value can finish a 10% test in about 46 days. Many $2M stores do better with a $1,495 sprint first.
Why do most CRO agencies not publish prices?
Scope changes with traffic, number of storefronts and how much development each test needs, and a quote lets the agency size the retainer to you. Seven of the nine providers on this page publish a price for the service we priced; Blend Commerce does not, and Intelligems prices its apps but not its managed service.
What is the difference between a CRO audit and a CRO sprint?
An audit gives you a ranked list of fixes. A sprint includes the audit and does the work. Our $1,495 sprint ships the top 10 fixes on a staging copy of your theme, with before-and-after measurement, and nothing goes live without your approval.
How much traffic do I need for A/B testing on Shopify?
Example: at a 2.5% conversion rate, spotting a 10% lift at 95% confidence takes about 62,400 visitors and 1,560 orders per version. A 20% lift takes about 15,600 visitors and 390 orders. Below roughly 1,000 orders a month (craftberry's line; ours is a few thousand), most tests take too long to be worth a retainer.
Are testing apps cheaper than an agency?
The apps are. Shoplift Core is $99 a month, Intelligems starts at $69, Convert Growth is $399 ($299 on annual), checked Oct 22, 2026. Managed plans from the app makers are $699 (Shoplift, annual only) or quote only (Intelligems). You still need someone to decide what to test and build it.
What does Evolve Media Agency charge for Shopify CRO?
CRO Audit $495, CRO Sprint $1,495, and Test Roadmap and Monthly Testing at $995 a month, cancel any month. We sell testing only to stores with the order volume to finish tests. Payment is 100% upfront and we do not guarantee a lift; we guarantee the audit, the fixes and the measurement.
