The pages that rank for this question give you one number with no studio attached to it. We loaded the rate cards of 27 product photography studios, marketplaces and freelancers, two editing services, five design-only shops and eight AI image tools on October 22, 2026. White-background images run $12 to $40 each at volume studios (to $65 for jewelry), finished Amazon listing sets $295 to $3,500 per product, and the AI tools $8 to $83 a month on entry and mid plans. Here is every published price, the math for a seven-image listing three ways, and Amazon's actual image rules from Amazon's own staff.
Short answer
Published US prices for Amazon product photography, October 2026, checked October 22: white-background images $12 to $40 each at volume studios (Products Photography Studio $39 down to $12 by quantity; ProShot Media $15 plus a $100 setup; EtherArts $20; Coconut from $26; soona $39; ProductPhoto.com $40 down to $30). Editing your own shots costs $0.25 to $0.99 an image at Path and from $0.95 at Pixelz. AI tools run $8 to $83 a month on entry and mid plans (Flair.ai, Pebblely, Photoroom, Caspa), up to $350 at Nightjar. On October 22, 2026, we loaded the pricing page of every US product photography studio we could find with a public rate card, plus the freelance marketplaces (Fiverr Pro, Contra, Upwork, Snappr), two editing-only services, five design-only shops and eight AI product image tools. For each we recorded the unit (per image, per product, per hour, per package), the white-background price, lifestyle and infographic prices, 360 and video, model and styling fees, retouching and rush charges, minimums, turnaround, usage rights and where you ship the product. Where a page says nothing, the entry says so.
Three cautions. Squareshot, the most detailed published rate card in the category, announced that its final day of operations is October 30, 2026; we list its prices as a pre-closure data point only. My Amazon Guy's photography prices would not load from its public page for us (they appeared only at an unlisted URL), so we cite its design-only menu (which does publish) and leave photography as quote only. And one Amazon help page everyone links to, Product image requirements (G1881), renders only with JavaScript, so the image rules below come from Amazon staff posts in Seller Forums, with links.
Products Photography Studio $39 (1 to 5) to $12 (100+), $100 minimum; ProShot Media $15 plus $100 setup, no minimum; EtherArts $20 simple, $25 to $65 jewelry; Coconut from $26 (clothing and reflective $35); soona $39, editing included; ProductPhoto.com $40 (1 to 10), $35 (11 to 50), $30 (51+); POW $39.99 (1) to $29.99 (35 to 50); Neil van Niekerk $200 session plus $65 a photo.
EtherArts $385 to $750 (4 to 8 JPGs); Evolve $295 / $495 / $745 (5 / 10 / 20 images); Kenji ROI $497 / $797 / $1,597; ProductPhoto.com $799 / $1,195 / $3,500; ProductPhotography.com $995 / $1,495 / $1,995 (5 / 7 / 9 assets, one ASIN); eStore Factory $349 white background, $549 live model, $199 editing only.
Fiverr Pro $100 for 5 plain-background photos to $295 for 5 with lifestyle and infographics; Contra $20 an image (minimum 5) to $14 at 100+; Snappr $89 for the first hour (first booking) and $169 for two; Upwork publishes a $25 to $45 median hourly rate for all photographers with no product-specific figure.
My Amazon Guy photography (see above), Pro Photo Studio (Miami; 50% deposit, 6 to 7 business days), AMZ One Step (3 to 4 weeks), Canopy Management, Results Imagery, Thrive Product Studio (publishes only percentage discounts: 10% for 2 to 9 products, 15% for 10 to 29, 25% for 30+).
A standard Amazon listing is one main image on white plus six secondary images, usually three lifestyle and three infographic. The arithmetic below prices that seven-image set three ways using published figures only, and is labeled as examples. Shipping the product to the studio, and return shipping, is extra everywhere except where noted.
Amazon charges nothing for images and sets the rules the photographer has to hit. The official help page, Product image requirements, needs JavaScript to display, so the rules below come from two Amazon staff posts in Seller Forums from early 2026, which say the same things.
At $295 a SKU the margin does not carry the shoot. Shoot the white-background image yourself from the free guide, send it to Path for a $0.39 background removal, and put the budget into the three SKUs that sell.
A $295 finished set is a worse per-image price than $12 to $26 at Products Photography Studio, Coconut or EtherArts. Buy per image. Our sets are for brands that want the lifestyle and infographic slots filled by the same shoot.
Then the lifestyle variations are an AI job at $9 to $39 a month at Pebblely or from $25 at Nightjar, or our real photo to AI content service if you want them done. Do not pay for a second shoot to get a second background.
If reviews are under 4.0, the price is off the category, or the title has no keywords, new photos will not fix the conversion rate. Run the free listing audit first.
ProductPhotography.com, eStore Factory, Coconut and ProShot publish prices without rights language. A $349 package with an unstated image count is not a price. Ask before you ship the product.
Published rush fees run 25% to 100% and most studios quote 5 to 12 business days after the product arrives; ours is usually 2 to 3 weeks, up to 5 depending on the project. soona publishes 24-hour delivery as an option and Snappr books by the hour. Pay for speed where speed is published.
ProShot's $15 image is $115 with setup; soona's $39 image is $422 for seven with an hour of styling. Ask for the total, not the unit.
soona, ProductPhoto.com, Neil van Niekerk, Products Photography Studio and POW publish perpetual or unlimited rights; EtherArts keeps copyright and grants a license; Squareshot limited model rights to six months; Leigh Germy licenses by the year. Several studios say nothing.
eStore Factory's $349 states no image count. Kenji ROI charges $25 an image after the first round. Ask before you ship.
Per-image studios shoot; design is $10 (text overlay) to $99 (a designed infographic) more per image. Per-product packages usually include it. Ask which.
Published: Products Photography Studio 5 days or less; ProShot and POW 7 business days; ProductPhoto.com 7 to 10; Evolve usually 2 to 3 weeks, up to 5; AMZ One Step 3 to 4 weeks. Rush 25% to 100%.
Pure white RGB 255 background, 85% frame fill, 1,000 pixels minimum (1,600 recommended), no text or props. Any studio that sells to Amazon brands should answer yes without looking it up.
