[01] Best Shopify CRO Agencies 2026

Best Shopify CRO Agencies in 2026, Ranked With Prices and Minimums

Twenty-one conversion rate optimization agencies and managed app plans checked in October 2026. Twelve made the list. Only five of those twelve publish a price, only two state the confidence level they call a winner at, and the ones that rank themselves first on Google are not the ones that fit a $1M to $10M store.

Last reviewed October 23, 2026Prices checked October 2026By Ian Smith

Short answer

For a Shopify store doing $1M to $10M a year, the best fits are craftberry (retainers from about $3,500 a month, 95% confidence rule, needs 1,000+ orders a month), Evolve Media Agency (fixed-price: $495 audit, $1,495 sprint, $995 a month testing once a store reaches a few thousand orders a month; audit and sprint best under about $5M). Also fitting: Invesp (Foundation tier for $1M to $6M stores, Growth from $10,000 a month) and Blend Commerce (audit-first, about $1M and 50,000 sessions a month minimum). Below about 50,000 sessions a month, skip the agency testing program and buy an audit or ship fixes directly. Every other price on this page is the agency's own published figure or a labeled estimate.

[02] How We Ranked

Published Prices, Stated Minimums, and a Method You Can Check

Disclosure: Evolve Media Agency, which publishes this page, is one of the companies listed. We put ourselves where the stated method puts us and we say plainly which competitors are the better pick for which situation. Every price for another company is that company's own published figure (with the page it came from) or a ballpark estimate from public sources, labeled as such. Our prices are exact and come from our pricing page. Nothing here is paid placement and no company on this list pays us.

We looked at 21 providers: 18 agencies (one of them, Northpeak, turned out to be a dead domain), two managed plans sold by A/B testing apps, and one solo practice. For each we loaded the pricing or CRO page on October 22, 2026, and recorded four things: whether a price is published, what revenue or traffic minimum they state, whether they say how they decide a test has won, and where they say they fit. Rank order weighs those four things for a store doing $1M to $10M a year. An agency that only takes $10M+ brands is listed because people ask about it, but it is not ranked in the top five.

What we did not do: score anyone on their own case studies. Every lift number on every agency site is vendor reported, and one of them labels results "verified" without saying by whom. We quote the numbers where they are useful and we say who reported them.

Price published

Five of the twelve ranked agencies publish a figure, as do Spiralyze, Speero and Shoplift's managed plan; Intelligems' managed plan is quote only. The rest say "it depends on store size," which is true and also unhelpful before a call.

Minimums stated

Seven providers state a floor (craftberry, Invesp, Blend, Convertibles, SplitBase, Speero, Blue Stout). They range from about $1M a year (Invesp Foundation, Blend) to $50M (Speero). If you are below the floor, the agency will tell you on the call; the list tells you now.

Winner rule

Only craftberry (95% confidence after two business cycles) and Speero (minimum detectable effect set before the test, about 95%) say how a test is called. Everyone else says "statistical confidence" or nothing.

Tool stack

Intelligems is the Shopify-native default (craftberry, Blend, SplitBase, Convertibles). Convert, VWO and Optimizely cluster at the enterprise shops. If you already pay for a tool, pick an agency that works in it.

[03] Short List by Situation

Start With Your Order Volume, Not the Agency's Logo Wall

CRO agencies disagree about almost everything except this: you need enough orders to run a test. A test that needs 1,000 conversions per variation takes a 50-order-a-day store about six weeks and a 10-order-a-day store more than half a year. That is why the better agencies publish floors and why the first question is your volume, not your budget.

Under about 50,000 sessions a month

Do not buy a testing retainer. Buy an audit and ship the fixes: our $495 audit or $1,495 sprint, Oddit's Essential report at $2,250, or CRO.media's audit if you can pin down its price. Measure before and after, not A versus B.

$1M to $3M, 300 to 1,000 orders a month

Evolve (audit, then a sprint that ships the fixes; at this volume we do not sell monthly testing), Blend Commerce (about $1M and 50,000 sessions minimum), or Invesp's Foundation tier (by application).

$2M to $6M, 1,000+ orders a month, paid media running

craftberry (from about $3,500 a month, their stated client profile), Convertibles (Shopify Plus, $2M+), Invesp Foundation or Growth. Evolve's $995 monthly testing starts at a few thousand orders a month.

$6M to $10M

Invesp Growth (from $10,000 a month), craftberry, SplitBase if you are near their $10M+ line and can commit to three months.

$10M+ and 100,000+ unique visitors

SplitBase, Speero (from $10,000 a month on a 12-month program), Spiralyze ($25,000 a month flat), Invesp Performance. Out of range for this page's reader, listed so you know what the enterprise tier costs.

You want one team for Shopify and Amazon

That is the specific thing Evolve does. Most CRO agencies on this list do not touch Amazon listings; most Amazon agencies do not touch your theme.

Shopify and PlusRetainer from ~$3,500/mo$2M+ revenue, 1,000+ orders/mo

What they sell: A full Shopify testing program: research, 3 to 5 A/B tests a month in Intelligems, plus development billed separately.

The clearest method on this list. Winners are called at 95% confidence after two full business cycles, inconclusive tests are reported as inconclusive, and the retainer page states a baseline-and-lift guarantee (about 10% within 90 days of the first launch, or they keep testing without the fee). One wording clash on their site: the scope list says development is included while the price line says it is billed separately. Ask which applies to you.

Published starting price

Retainers start at around $3,500 a month for research and 3 to 5 tests. Development quoted separately.

Best fit$2M to $10M Shopify stores with 1,000+ orders a month and paid media running that want a real testing program.
Look elsewhere ifYou are under 1,000 orders a month. They say so themselves: at that volume they push audits and direct fixes, not tests.

Fixed hour blocksShopify and Amazon under one roofAudit $495, sprint $1,495

What we sell: A fixed-price CRO audit, a sprint that ships 10 fixes on your theme, and a monthly testing roadmap for stores with enough traffic to test, which our service page puts at a few thousand orders a month. Everything is priced in hour blocks at $100 an hour.

We are the publisher of this page. We are a three-person shop, so we are clear about where we sit: we ship fixes fast on stores that do not yet have the traffic for a formal test program, and we run monthly tests where the traffic is there. We do not run enterprise experimentation.

Our price, from the pricing page

CRO Audit $495 (5 hours, ranked fix list with evidence). CRO Sprint $1,495 (15 hours, audit plus 10 fixes shipped on your theme). Test Roadmap and Monthly Testing $995 a month (10 hours a month). 100% upfront, cancel any month.

Best fit$1M to $5M stores that need the fixes done, not a 12-month testing contract; monthly testing once you reach a few thousand orders a month; brands that also sell on Amazon and want one team for both.
Look elsewhere ifYou do 5,000+ orders a month and want five tests a week with a seven-person pod. That is craftberry, Invesp or SplitBase territory.

One of the few agencies with an actual pricing page. Tools named are VWO, AB Tasty, Optimizely, Convert, Adobe Target, Kameleoon and their own FigPii; Shopify is not mentioned on the site, and neither are Intelligems or Shoplift. Their homepage says Foundation needs 30,000 visitors a month; the pricing page says there is no traffic minimum and they will tell you on application. Clutch 4.9 from 30 reviews.

What they sell: A CRO audit (3 to 5 weeks, 40+ recommendations, a six-month roadmap scored with PECTI, their prioritization score), then monthly implementation and A/B testing, or a redesign.

Minimums are stated plainly on the audit page: about $1M a year and about 50,000 sessions a month. Tests run "to statistical confidence" with no number given; where traffic is thin they ship fixes directly. Intelligems is named on the homepage. Published results include Jackson's +88% conversion and Six Brothers Beef +177%, vendor reported. Clutch 5.0 from a single review.

[05] Agency vs App

Three Ways to Buy Testing, and What Each One Costs

A/B testing apps have gotten good enough that the real decision is not which agency, it is whether you need one. The app runs the test; the agency decides what to test, builds the variation, and reads the result without fooling itself. Here is what each route costs in October 2026.

Do it yourself on an app

What you payPer their pricing pages in October 2026: Intelligems Build Your Own from $69 a month at the lowest order tier, or Unlimited at $1,279 a month with a three-month minimum. Shoplift Core $99 a month. Convert Growth $399 a month, $299 on annual. Shogun page builder from $39 a month with testing included.
What you getThe testing engine and reporting. Price, shipping and checkout tests need Shopify Plus on most of them.
Who it fitsA founder or marketer who can write a hypothesis, build a variation in the theme editor, and wait two full business cycles before calling it.
Watch forIntelligems' site shows a "save 44%" badge on a cut from $2,894 to $1,279 a month, about 56%; Shoplift's website and App Store prices for the Advanced plan differ ($299 vs $399).

Managed plan from the app vendor

What you payShoplift Managed Account $699 a month, annual only on their site (the App Store lists a Pro plan at $999 a month or $8,388 a year). Intelligems White Glove: quote only, booked through a demo.
What you getA dedicated account manager, twice-monthly strategy sessions, an audit and a roadmap, a Slack channel. You still build the variations or pay for development.
Who it fitsStores with an in-house developer who want structure and a second opinion without an agency contract.
Watch forVisitor caps change between the monthly and annual toggles on Shoplift's pricing page.

Agency program

What you payFrom $495 for an audit or $995 a month for testing (Evolve) to about $3,500 a month (craftberry) to $10,000 a month (Invesp Growth, Speero) and $25,000 (Spiralyze).
What you getResearch, hypotheses, design and build of each variation, the test run in your tool, and someone accountable for reading it correctly.
Who it fitsStores with the traffic to test and nobody in-house whose job it is.
Watch forAgencies that will not say how a winner is called, and retainers with no stated number of tests per month.

How to read this: "Published" means the number is on the company's own site on the date we checked and we link to that page in the entry above. Market ranges elsewhere on this page are ballpark estimates assembled from those published figures. Prices change; if a number here no longer matches the provider's site, the provider's site wins.
[07] Read This Before You Book

When You Should Not Hire a CRO Agency

You are under about 50,000 sessions a month

Most of the agencies that state a floor would turn you away, and the ones that would not cannot run a valid test on your traffic. Buy an audit, make the changes, compare the month before to the month after.

Your product page has no reviews and weak images

Every agency here will test button colors on a page that loses for a bigger reason. Fix photos, reviews and price first. Our free Amazon listing audit checks the same elements a Shopify product page needs.

You cannot name the metric

Conversion rate, revenue per visitor and average order value move in different directions. An agency hired to "improve conversion" can win the metric and lose you money. Pick revenue per visitor unless you have a reason not to.

Your site is slow

A theme that takes four seconds on a phone loses before any test starts. Spend the first $1,000 on theme performance, then test.

You want a guaranteed lift

craftberry publishes a guarantee with conditions, and others publish bigger ones. Read the conditions: they are promises to keep working, not refunds. Nobody can guarantee your customers' behavior.

You want it done in a month

Two business cycles per test at 95% confidence is the realistic pace. An agency promising ten winners in 30 days is counting noise.

[08] On the Call

Eight Questions That Sort the Testers From the Talkers

1

At what confidence level do you call a winner, and over how many business cycles?

The two right answers on this list are craftberry's and Speero's. "We watch it until it is clear" is not an answer.

2

How many tests a month at my traffic, and what happens to the retainer in a month with no valid test?

A good agency says fewer tests on a smaller store and switches to direct fixes. A bad one keeps the retainer and runs more tests.

3

Which tool do you run tests in, and who owns the account?

You should own the Intelligems, Shoplift or Convert account and the data in it. If the agency leaves, the history stays.

4

Who builds the variations, and is development in the price?

craftberry's own page says both "included" and "billed separately." Get the answer in the proposal.

5

What metric are we optimizing?

Revenue per visitor is usually right. Conversion rate alone can be gamed with discounts.

6

Show me a test that lost.

Every real program has them. An agency that only has winners has either a short history or a loose definition of winning.

7

What happens below the traffic floor?

If you are near the stated minimum, ask what they do in a slow month. The answer tells you whether they have a Plan B or just a contract.

8

What is the exit?

Month to month (Invesp Growth, Evolve, CRO.media) versus three months (SplitBase) versus 12 months (Speero). The longer the lock, the stronger the case they should have to make.

[10] FAQ

Shopify CRO Agency Questions

Which Shopify CRO agency is best for a store doing $1M to $5M a year?
craftberry if you have 1,000+ orders a month and want a testing program (retainers from about $3,500 a month); Evolve Media Agency if you want fixed-price audits and fixes shipped first ($495 audit, $1,495 sprint); Blend Commerce or Invesp's Foundation tier if you want an audit-first program with a stated minimum around $1M.
How much does a Shopify CRO agency cost in 2026?
Published agency prices run from $495 for an audit (Evolve) and about $3,500 a month for a retainer (craftberry) to $10,000 a month (Invesp Growth, Speero) and $25,000 a month (Spiralyze). Most agencies publish nothing and quote by store size. Shoplift's managed plan is $699 to $999 a month depending on where you buy it; Intelligems' is quote only.
What traffic do I need before hiring a CRO agency?
The stated floors on this list start at about 50,000 sessions a month (Blend) and 1,000 orders a month (craftberry); Speero requires 100,000 unique visitors. Below those numbers a valid A/B test takes months, so buy an audit and ship fixes instead.
Do I need an agency or just an A/B testing app?
The app runs the test; the agency decides what to test, builds the variation and reads the result. If you have a developer and someone who can write a hypothesis and wait two business cycles, an app plus a managed plan (Shoplift's is $699 to $999 a month) can be enough. If nobody owns it in-house, hire the agency.
Which tools do Shopify CRO agencies use?
Intelligems is the Shopify-native default (craftberry, Blend, SplitBase, Convertibles). Convert shows up at surefoot, Swanky, SplitBase and Invesp. VWO and Optimizely cluster at enterprise shops. Shoplift appears at Charle. VWO's own pricing page now redirects to Wingify after its merger with AB Tasty and shows no prices.
What confidence level should a CRO agency use?
95% is the common standard, measured over at least two full business cycles so weekday and weekend behavior are both in the sample. craftberry and Speero state this; most agencies do not state a number. Ask.
Are the case study numbers on agency sites real?
They are vendor reported. None of the agencies on this list publishes third-party-verified lift, and one labels results "verified" without naming the verifier. Treat them as examples of the work, not as a forecast for your store.
Is Evolve Media Agency a CRO agency?
We sell a fixed-price CRO audit, a sprint that ships ten fixes on your theme, and monthly testing for stores with a few thousand orders a month or more. We are three people and we also build listing content for Amazon, so we fit brands that want one team for both. We are not an enterprise experimentation shop, and this page says so.
Should I pick an agency that also does paid media or email?
Only if you want those services. Conversion Fanatics and GrowthHit bundle CRO with paid; Swanky and Charle bundle it with Shopify builds. A bundled agency is convenient; a specialist usually tests more.
How long before a CRO program pays for itself?
At $3,500 a month you need about $42,000 a year of extra gross profit to break even on fees alone, before development. At a 40% margin that is about $105,000 of revenue, a 3.5% lift on a $3M store. Realistic programs find that in the first six months or they tell you to stop; make the agency show you the math for your numbers.
